九鬼修造「いきの構造」を読んでから和装について思いを馳せることが多くなり、自分にとっての粋ってなんだろうなとぼんやり考えはじめ、キモノ袖のガウンは必ず挑戦しようと決めていました。日本の和テイストではなく、逆輸入的なガウンをデニムなどと合わせたい気分です。背中はVに開いており、裾は両側にスリットが入っています。洗いざらしの風合いが心地よいです。
After reading Shuzo Kuki's "Iki no Kozo", I found myself reflecting on the idea of iki and what it means to me. That led me to create this kimono-sleeved gown - something I knew I had to try.
Rather than leaning into traditional Japanese style, I imagined it worn in a reversed, reinterpreted way, paired with denim, for instance. V-shape open back design. Side slits on the hem. A washed finish for an effortless comfort.
