1930年頃のアイビーリーグ名門校プリンストン大学のユニフォームとして有名なこの形。 卒業式では、このジャケットに寄せ書きのようにメッセージやイラストを互いに書きあう文化もあったので、ヴィンテージショップなどでは様々なキャラクターのイラストが描かれた魅力的な1点ものに出会うことが多々あります。そんなビアジャケットのシルエットは残しつつ、ポケットにウェーブしたフラップをつけたり、タックを入れてふっくらとしたパッチポケットにするなど、新たにデザインを加えてみました。カバーオールのざっくりとしたシルエットではあるものの、ヒップ下くらいの丈感なので、ミニドレスのようにしてブーツと合わせたり、ショート丈のボトムと合わせて甘めのスタイリングをするのも新しいスタイルかもしれません。フーディの上に羽織ってルーズな合わせもしてみたいです。
This shape is famous as the uniform of Princeton University, a prestigious Ivy League school, around 1930. There was also a culture where people wrote messages and illustrations to each other on these jackets at graduation ceremonies, so you often come across attractive one-of-a-kind pieces with illustrations of various characters at vintage shops. While keeping the beer jacket silhouette, I added a wavy flap to the pocket and added tucks and puffy patch pockets. Although it has the rough silhouette of a coverall, the length is just below the hips, so it may be a new style to wear it like a mini dress and pair it with boots, or pair it with short bottoms for a sweeter look.I would also like to wear it over a hoodie for a looser look.
